My story

A nurse first, always

I'm Emilee — a registered nurse, and the person behind EMA Aesthetics.

I spent years in NHS respiratory nursing, including right through the COVID pandemic — about as demanding as nursing gets. From there I followed my instinct to care and joined the Douglas Macmillan Hospice as a specialist nurse, looking after people and their families at the most important time of their lives. That work shaped how I do everything now: gently, honestly, and with real attention to the person in front of me.

I moved into aesthetics for one simple reason — I'd seen too much of it done badly. Overfilled lips, frozen foreheads, faces that no longer looked like themselves. I knew that with a proper medical foundation and a lighter touch, it could be done so much better.

I'm local, too — I grew up in Caverswall, just outside Stoke — and away from the clinic I'm happiest making my own artwork. That artist's eye matters more than people expect: good aesthetics is all about balance, proportion, and knowing when to stop. So EMA is built around one idea — expert, medical-grade care in a calm, welcoming space, with advice you can genuinely trust, and no treatment I wouldn't be happy to have myself.

Trained, accredited & accountable

Who treats you matters

Aesthetics isn't as tightly regulated as it should be — so it's worth knowing exactly who's looking after you. Here's where I stand.

NMC-registered nurse

A registered nurse with ten years' clinical experience — in respiratory care through the pandemic, and later in specialist hospice care.

CPD-certified training

My aesthetics training is certified to recognised CPD standards, and I keep my skills current as techniques and products evolve.

Proper prescribing

Prescription treatments are prescribed by a qualified independent prescriber I work alongside — and I'm completing my own prescriber qualification this year.

Fully insured

Covered by specialist medical-aesthetics insurance through PolicyBee, for your peace of mind and mine.

Why it matters

Why it matters that your practitioner's a nurse

A medical foundation

Ten years of nursing means anatomy, safety and clinical judgement come as standard — not an afterthought.

Safety comes first

Prescription-only medicines, sterile technique and a proper assessment every time. No corners cut.

Honest advice

I'll only ever treat to genuinely enhance what's already there — never filler or anti-wrinkle for the sake of it. Every face is different, and deserves its own approach.

"Emilee was so lovely and friendly and made me feel really at ease. So happy with the results — clearly experienced and professional, and I was made super comfortable throughout. I'd definitely return."
