Not at all. Most people who come in aren't sure, and that's exactly what the free consultation is for. Emilee will look at your skin, ask what's bothering you, and talk you through what would genuinely help — sometimes that's one treatment, sometimes a small plan, and sometimes it's honestly nothing yet.

It depends on the treatment. Dermaplaning has none — you can go straight back to your day, make-up and all. Microneedling can leave your skin a little pink and warm for a day or so, a bit like mild sunburn. Polynucleotides may cause small, temporary bumps at the injection points that settle quickly. You'll always know exactly what to expect before we start.

Some are instant — dermaplaning leaves skin smoother and brighter the same day. Others work underneath the surface: microneedling and polynucleotides prompt your skin to make its own collagen, so the glow builds over a few weeks and keeps improving. We'd rather set honest expectations than overpromise.

Both happen. A pre-event dermaplane is often a one-off. Collagen-boosting treatments like microneedling and polynucleotides usually work best as a short course a few weeks apart, then the odd top-up. We'll plan the least you need to get the result — never a package for the sake of it.
