Profhilo & Skin Boosters near Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford & Stone
Not volume, not shape — just better skin. We use Profhilo, an injectable that hydrates and bioremodels across a whole area to improve quality, glow and firmness — planned as a short course after a free consultation.
What it does
Treating the skin, not the shape
Most injectable treatments change structure. A skin booster does not. It is placed in small amounts across an area to improve the skin itself — hydration, elasticity and that lit-from-within quality that thins out with age, sun and time.
It suits people who look in the mirror and think the problem is not lines or volume but dullness, crepiness or tired-looking skin. Common areas are the cheeks, the neck, the décolletage and the backs of the hands.
The booster we use is Profhilo — stabilised hyaluronic acid that spreads through the skin rather than holding its shape, releasing hydration slowly and stimulating your own collagen and elastin. It is placed at a small number of set points, usually as two sessions about four weeks apart, then maintained roughly every six months.
Why choose it
The benefits of skin boosters
Nothing changes shape
No added volume and no altered proportions — just better-conditioned skin.
Gradual and subtle
Improvement builds over a course, so nobody sees a change happen overnight.
Nurse led & assessed
Your skin is assessed first, and the product and plan chosen to suit it.
Works alongside other treatments
Often combined with microneedling or polynucleotides as part of one considered plan.
Choosing between them
Boosters, polynucleotides or microneedling?
These get confused constantly, and the honest answer is that the right one depends on your skin rather than on which is newest. Broadly: Profhilo leads with hydration and bioremodelling across larger areas, polynucleotides lead with repair and suit delicate or under-eye skin, and microneedling works your own collagen through controlled stimulation. They are often combined rather than chosen between.
The full comparison is written up here: Polynucleotides vs Profhilo, which is right for you? →
Which product is used, and whether a booster is even the right starting point, is decided at your consultation once your skin has been looked at properly. Sometimes the answer is a different treatment entirely, or none yet.

Skin booster questions, answered
What is a skin booster?
An injectable treatment that puts hydration and support back into the skin itself, rather than adding volume or shape. We use Profhilo, which spreads through the skin to hydrate deeply and stimulate your own collagen and elastin, improving quality, glow and firmness across a whole area.
How is it different from dermal filler?
Filler is placed to create structure and volume in one spot. A skin booster is not there to change your shape at all — it works on the condition of the skin across a whole area. Many people have both, for different reasons.
How is it different from polynucleotides?
They overlap and are often confused. Profhilo leads with hydration and bioremodelling across larger areas; polynucleotides lead with regeneration and repair, and suit delicate or under-eye skin. They are often used together rather than chosen between. Which suits you is decided at your consultation, not in advance.
How many sessions will I need?
Profhilo is usually two sessions about four weeks apart, then maintenance roughly every six months. Your own plan is agreed at your free consultation once your skin has been assessed.
How much does it cost?
Guide prices are on our pricing page. Because the right product and the number of sessions depend on your assessment, your exact plan and cost are agreed at your free consultation.
Is there downtime?
Most people carry on with their day. Small raised bumps at the injection points are normal for a few hours, and some mild bruising is possible. We will talk through what to expect beforehand.
