Microneedling has become a skincare staple — and unlike many trends, it's backed by a simple, sound principle: prompt your skin to repair itself. Here's what it does, what it treats and what to expect, from our nurse-led clinic near Eccleshall.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling uses a device with very fine needles to create thousands of tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. These are so small you can barely see them, but they trigger the skin's natural healing response — boosting collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin firm, smooth and resilient.

What Does It Treat?

By improving the quality and structure of the skin, microneedling can help with:

  • Uneven texture and rough, tired-looking skin
  • Acne scarring and other soft scarring
  • Fine lines and early signs of ageing
  • Enlarged-looking pores and uneven tone

What to Expect During Treatment

We apply a numbing cream first, so most people find the treatment very comfortable — usually just a light scratching sensation. A session takes around 30 to 60 minutes including numbing time. Afterwards your skin will feel warm and look a little flushed, similar to mild sunburn.

Downtime and Aftercare

Any redness typically settles within 24 to 48 hours. The golden rules afterwards are to keep the skin clean, avoid make-up for the first day, skip heat and intense exercise briefly, and be diligent with daily SPF while your skin renews. We'll give you clear, personalised aftercare every time.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Microneedling works best as a short course, with results building gradually over the following weeks as new collagen forms. Many clients pair it with other advanced skin treatments such as polynucleotides for an even bigger boost to skin quality. At your free consultation, Emilee, an NMC registered nurse, will recommend a realistic plan for your skin. We're near Eccleshall, serving Stone and Stoke-on-Trent.
